Day 1

Arrival day and transfer to Kampala

ENTEBBE -KAMPALA

Karibu—a very warm welcome to Uganda! Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked up by a representative of Toturk Safaris and transferred to your accommodations in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. You will have a safari briefing and time for any questions regarding your adventure across Uganda. Catch glimpses of Lake Victoria along the way. Enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure.

Day 2

Transfer to Kibale National Park

KAMPALA-KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

 

After breakfast visit Uganda Museum and learn about the rich Ugandan history, and Gadafi mosque to see the panoramic view of Kampala city. Later on, transfer to Kibale National Park. The 5-to-6-hour journey offers the vibrant presence of the local communities, picturesque beauty of Uganda's tea plantations, and as you approach Kibale National Park, the landscape transitions into dense forests, hinting at the rich biodiversity awaiting within the park's boundaries. Kibale National Park is home to 13 species of primates. Lunch on the way, Dinner will be at the lodge.

Day 3

Chimpanzee habituation

KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast head to the information center and a have a brief about chimpanzee habituation. Chimpanzee habituation is the process of training primates to get used to having human beings around them and preparing them to be tracked. During the habituation process, you'll have the chance to observe these intelligent creatures as they go about their daily activities, from grooming each other to foraging for food. This immersive experience allows you to witness firsthand the complex social dynamics and behaviors of chimpanzees in their natural habitat. It's a truly unforgettable adventure that offers insights into the lives of our closest relatives in the animal kingdom.

Day 4

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth and Game drive

KIBALE NATIONAL PARK- QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the evening embark on a thrilling game drive through its diverse habitats, ranging from savannah grasslands to dense forests. Keep your eyes peeled for iconic African wildlife such as elephants, lions, and buffalos roaming freely in their natural habitat.

Morning Game Drive and Boat ride

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Wake up early in the morning and embark on a morning game drive and get to see some animals you may have missed during the evening game drive. This park has about 10 primate species, look out for them during the game drive. You will enjoy a packed breakfast in the game park. Lunch will be at the lodge.

In the afternoon, explore the Kazinga Channel by boat for an opportunity to see the stunning variety of wildlife at the water, including hippos, elephant, and crocodiles.  Birdlife in the park includes the African fin foot, Broad-billed roller, Red-chested sunbird, and Yellow-throated cuckoo, among others.

Day 6

Transfer to Bwindi and Batwa cultural experience.

QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK - BWINDI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park.  As you traverse the winding roads, you will Pass through charming villages and witness the daily life of the local communities. En route, make sure to keep an eye out for wildlife sightings along the way. Upon arriving in Bwindi visit the Batwa, to have a local community and cultural encounter. This involves cultural dances from the local people. You also participate in some activities e.g. traditional cooking and weaving among others.

Day 7

Gorilla Trekking

BWINDI NATIONAL PARK

Wake up early and have breakfast and then proceed to the information center for a briefing about the do's and don’ts of Gorilla trekking. During the Trek, look out for other primate species like the black and white colobus and the rare L'Hoests' monkeys, blue monkeys, red tailed monkeys, baboons and some chimpanzees.  Once you find the gorillas, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Return to the accommodation and have some rest.

Day 8

Transfer to Mgahinga National Park

BWINDI NATIONAL PARK – MGAHINGA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast transfer to Mgahinga National Park. It will take between 4 to 5hrs to reach the Mgahinga from Bwindi National Park. Have lunch at the lodge and rest for the next day’s activities. Enjoy Mgahinga’s amazing scenery.

Day 9

The Tree-Climbing Lions of Ishasha

MGAHINGA NATIONAL PARK AND LAKE BUNYONYI

The next day embark on golden monkey trekking and after head over to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 10

Departure

LAKE BUNYONYI- ENTEBBE

After breakfast, head over to Entebbe while enjoying the breath-taking views of Kabale district and make a stopover at the equator. Take unforgettable pictures.
